The Center for Healthcare Innovation Research in Progress (CHIRP), a collaborative between CHOIR, the Dartmouth Institute, and the High Value Healthcare Collaborative, formed from this National Center of Excellence Award, entitled “Accelerating the Use of Evidence-based Innovations in Healthcare Systems.” CHIRP is studying clinical conditions that influence implementation of innovations in healthcare. The findings will help guide the development and use of evidence from patient-centered outcomes research.

CHIRP is undertaking five projects:

Project 1: Environmental Influences on the Emergence of Integrated Systems

Project 2: Deployment and Success of Internal Management and Incentive Mechanisms

Project 3: The Adoption and Use of Biomedical Innovations in Diverse Health Systems

Project 4: The Adoption and Use of Care Delivery Innovations in Diverse Health Systems

Project 5: The Adoption and Use of Patient Engagement Innovations (led by CHOIR’s Dr. Hector Rodriguez)
