PhD Student

Leeann Comfort is a second year organizations and management track student in the Health Policy PhD program at UC Berkeley. Leeann comes to Berkeley from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, where she focused on research and demonstration programs for individuals who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. She also gained experience working in local government, at a private economic and policy analysis research firm, and as a research intern at Howard University in Washington, DC. Her current research interests include the effective design and implementation of care management models and team-based approaches to health care. Leeann earned a Master in Public Policy degree from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in economics from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
