PhD Student

Jessica Bing Ying Poon is a doctoral student on the organization and management track of the health policy program at the University of California in Berkeley. She received her BA with honors in biology and philosophy from UC Berkeley where she focused on decision-making under uncertainty. These questions took her to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she worked on health outcomes research regarding screening and treatment decisions. Here, she also led a team that provided surgeons with personalized quality assurance feedback. Her current research interests include patient-centered care, medical decision-making, and medical education.
